WHATS TRULY COOL ABOUT?
TRULY COOL is about an idea.
Whats really truly cool?
Who gets to dictate whats cool or not?
How hard do we try to fit in sometimes?
Do we really enjoy doing the things that we do even when we know that we are harming ourselves? Or are we blindly trying to impress our social tribes?
Would we really go to the extremes that we go sometimes if we were not brainwashed by certain society groups and media to do all that?
Becky is doing everything she can do to "fit in", whatever the consequences.
Becky is like a little sister to Nat, and she addresses Becky's choices bringing new ideas to brightner Becky's life and save her from a dead end road.
Everybody out there is doing the same thing anyway and is not even that different anymore to be nasty with ourselfs just to stand out in the crowd and get attention.
Certain choices bring the wrong kind of attention anyway.
Damaging our health for the sake of appearance to look outrageous among others has never been cool, and it will never be.
There are many ways to be cool, what's really cool?
Who dictated that is not cool and fun to just be naturaly ourselfs and happy about it and enjoy the simple things, like a nice fresh glass of water for example?
Who said that we need to smoke our lungs dry and drink our livers to death to have a good time?
How come when we were kids we could just run around free and have the time of our lives just like that?
We didnt worry about fitting in the "cool" standards then.
We didn't need any extra push to be happy then and we dont need it now.
We can still be happy just like that, just like when we were kids, without anything, just purely and naturaly and freely.

TRULY COOL AND MATTHEW MITCHAM
A big storm was approaching us in our photoshoot/shooting day but lucky was in our side after all!
And guess who was having a photoshoot at the same location at the same time?
Yes, Matthew Mitcham!
OMG!
That's amazing, I didn't get to watch much of the Beijing Olympics, you know, work work work... but i got to watch Mathew Mitcham gold diving moments and like the whole Australia I was cheering for him and thrilled after each dive!
Of course I had to invite him to our TRULY COOL photoshoot and he was the sweetheart that imagine him to be from watching him on TV and he said yes.
Matthew: "So what's the movie about?"
Shailla: "TRULY COOL is about the the fact that we are all perfectly capable of having fun being naturaly ourselfs without smoking or drinking.
It's also about the fact that is ok to say no to the things that seems "cool" and that our real friends who really care about us will be ok with that and dont make us feel like we are a weird or boring if we are not doing what they think that has to be done "for fun"."
Matthew: "That's true. Well done! I don't smoke or drink either."
Shailla: "Thank you! Is it ok if I put this photos in the Truly Cool website?"
Mathew: "Yes of course! No problem at all."
Shailla: "Thank you! That will be awesome!
Matthew: "Good luck! See you at the festivals then!
Shailla: "Thank YOU! See you at the festivals! And at the diving competitions!"
